Monșer Fetească White

“Monser” is the first range of wines that brings together pure Romanian varieties.
In 2007 we conceived the most varied range, as a collection of the most representative pure Romanian varieties, most of them with pre-phylloxeric antiquity. The portfolio includes remarkable varieties such as: Feteasca Neagra, Babeasca Neagra, Cadarca, Babeasca Gri, Zghihara, Feteasca Regala, Feteasca Alba, Sarba, Tamaioasa Romaneasca and Busuioaca de Bohotin.
Monser wines are one of the most faithful illustrations of what the true Romanian wine-winemaking tradition means.
In choosing the name of the wine range, we started from the fact that, traditionally, good wines in Romania were not made in peasant households but in those of the old boyars. This name was borrowed from the famous Caragiale characters, to suggest the atmosphere specific to the second half of the nineteenth century. It is the world of Duiliu Zamfirescu and Ion Luca Caragiale, “La Belle Epoque” of Romania, which is also underlined by the motto inscribed on the label: “Pure Romanian varieties for boyars and thin cheeks”.
The illustration of the label recreates the atmosphere of more than 100 years ago, in which the local nobles enjoyed the wine produced from their own vineyards.
The Monser range contains white and red wines, dry, semi-dry and sweet, in accordance with the traditional preferences of the Romanians, vinified with modern technologies, but respecting the typicality of the variety and especially the imprint of the terroir!
